Ting offering 'crazy fast' Internet in the greater Sandpoint area

SANDPOINT — Wireless communications firm Ting is scouting the greater Sandpoint area to gauge interest in its new fiber Internet service. The connection is “crazy fast,” according to the company’s press release.

This symmetrical gigabit service can transfer data at rates up to a gigabit — 1,000 megabits — per second. As a point of comparison, Frontier’s high speed Internet service downloads at 6 megabits per second, according to its website.
