What’s happened to the Republican Party?

The current campaign for president has devolved into a schoolyard brawl, with the bully surrounded by feckless antagonists. The attacks by one candidate on another are childish and tasteless. Issues are not on the table, policy is on hold and their demeanor disillusioning. The candidates operating above the fray are ignored.
