Legislature's actions are not reasoned thoughts

| March 6, 2016 6:00 AM

I read in the Spokesman-Review (Feb. 2, 2016) that the House panel cleared a $22.6 million tax cut to lower the tax rates for the state’s wealthiest by one-tenth of a per cent, resulting in lowering the highest individual tax rate of 7.3 percent and business rate to 7 percent.

Can it be that the wealthiest among us are clamoring for such cuts? If you make $444,000 your taxes would lower by $815, do you think it would make any difference to them? If you make $41,00 a year your taxes would go down by $23. What would you do with your windfall?
