Chamber meeting explores the arts

SANDPOINT — Area residents and businesses are invited to learn about the arts at Thursday’s Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce general membership meeting. 

The chamber meeting will be held from noon-1 p.m. in the Community Room of the Columbia Bank, 414 Church St., Sandpoint. The meeting is a chance to learn more about The Festival at Sandpoint, Panida Theater, Pend Oreille Arts Council and Sandpoint Arts Commission.

The four arts organizations in the community serve different purposes and provide different services to artists and community members alike.

Do you know the different organizations and their role in the arts community of Sandpoint? Do you know which group is responsible for the public art downtown? Do you know which group provides educational opportunities to area students through outreach programs or which hosts the ArtWalk and Arts & Crafts Fair every year? Do you know the economic impact of The Festival at Sandpoint during its annual summer music series?
