Cruz wins Idaho GOP primary

BOISE (AP) — As he did throughout Idaho, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz was winning in Bonner County as well.

With 8 of 33 precinct reporting by deadline, Cruz had 587 votes, or 48.2% of the county Republicans who voted in Tuesday’s primary election. Businessman Donald Trump claimed 250 votes, or 20.5 percent of the vote, while Ohio Gov. John R. Kasich had 190 votes, or 15.6 percent, and Sen. Marco Rubio had 133 votes, or 10.9 percent

Also receiving votes were Jeb Bush, 5, 0.4 percent; Ben Carson, 22, 1.8 percent; Chris Christie, 4, 0.3 percent; Carly Fiorina, 4, 0.3 percent; Lindsey Graham, 4, 0.3 percent; Mike Huckabee, 7, 0.6 percent; Rand Paul, 8, 0.7 percent; and Rick Santorum, 3, 0.2 percent.

Two Constitution Party votes were cast, one for Scott Copeland and one for J.R. Myers.
