Schoening, Norris picked for state All-Star game

SANDPOINT — A pair of Bulldog hoopsters will get a chance to compete with and against the best seniors in the state, as the 2016 Idaho State All-Star Basketball game comes to North Idaho College on Saturday, March 12.

The girls game tips off at 1 p.m., with the University of Montana-bound Schoening playing for the Region team, as the format was tweaked this year from strictly North vs. South to a mix of North and Southeast, against a metro roster comprised of the Boise area.

The boys game will tip off at 3:30 p.m., with Norris joining the Region team. Both Norris and Schoening could also be contenders in the 3-point shooting contest, which along with a slam dunk contest is part of the fun festivities.

A pair of Bulldogs were voted as alternates, meaning they would join the team if anyone can’t make it, in post Carlos Collado and point guard Riley Couch.
