Students go wild for science

SANDPOINT — Area fifth- and sixth-graders learned about everything from food additives to phantom limbs Wednesday at Sandpoint High School's third annual Science Circuit. High school students created over 30 wild science exhibits designed to educate and amaze.
"As part of the honors chemistry classes, students are challenged to view real life at the molecular level, investigating everything from solar energy advancements to treatments for cystinosis," said event organizers in a press release. "Students integrate three elements into their Science Circuit preparation: current scientific research, career/scientist connection, and development of an interactive, technology-enhanced exhibit."
