An artful distraction by oil naysayers?

As the seasons for basketball shoes, ski boots, goggles and helmets, as well as polar fleece clothing comes to a close, we pull out the rubber cleats, batting tees, raincoats, bicycle goggles and helmets and polyester clothing. Close behind, if not concurrently, out comes the life vests, swim fins and goggles, as well as the ice chests, propane for grilling, latex and more nylons. With the change in every season, we find more uses for oil-based products.
