Greg Stoner, 62

Greg Stoner, 62, passed away peacefully at his home the morning of Wednesday, March 16, 2016. He was surrounded in his last moments by his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Stoner; and his sister, Lisa Stoner. He is survived by his wife, Beth (MacDonald) Stoner; his father, Richard Stoner; his children, Cora (Curtis) Johnson and Todd Stoner; a granddaughter, Charlotte Johnson; and his siblings, Sandra Stoner, Alan Stoner, and Brenda (Dennis) Cales; and several nieces and nephews.

Greg grew up in Union City, Ind., and made his home in Sandpoint, Idaho, where he raised his children and worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed creating things with his hands and giving others joy with his work. His children have many fond memories of working with him on projects in his shop.

It was his wish to donate his body to science and not to have a formal service. Think of him when you walk through the woods, smell fresh hay, chop firewood …
