My next president should be a talk-the-talk, walk-the-walk, steel-spined leader. I know, I know … I'm probably residing in Fantasyland. Until recently the thought of casting my vote in the general election presented a conundrum … as an Independent, for whom do I vote.

In my opinion, our current president and 114th Congress are self-serving drones interested only in power, wealth, and reelection, while disregarding what's right for our country.

Campaign bombast is entertaining. Personally, my favorite insult word both Ds and Rs throw about is feckless, i.e. irresponsible, useless, worthless, incompetent, inept, good-for-nothing. However, if it's true, is it really an insult?

When this process commenced I expected it would be Clinton versus Bush in the general, and I did not want another inherited monarchy. Now it appears it will be Clinton versus Trump … maybe.

I know what I'd be getting with Clinton, Sanders, Kasich, Cruz, or Rubio. Bad news all around. Trump? I have no idea what I'd get, but he bluntly expresses my politically incorrect positions on Islam, the southern border, the IRS, common-core, the EPA, trade, military strength, etc. And with the left and right furiously working for his political demise, he must be doing something right.

No more conundrum. If Trump iss the nominee he gets my vote. Couldn't be any worse than our current leaders.

God bless America, and God bless our military.
