I would like to know if there is some rule or law that prevents the U.S. Postal Service, FedEx or UPS from ringing the door bell when they leave a package or letter on the front porch. My latest package sat at my door overnight and I was home all day. I thought I had checked but as it was leaning against the door I could not see it when I looked out the window and I was not expecting anything. Come on, it only takes a couple of seconds more to perform this small service.
