Deputies responded to the Higgins Road area for a report of an unattended death at 1:26 a.m.

Report of a 911 hang-up in the 10000 block of Schweitzer Mountain Road at 1:48 a.m.

Report of suspicious persons in the area of Shadow Mountain and N. Boyer roads in Sandpoint at 3:54 a.m.

SANDPOINT POLICE

April 24

An officer answered questions in the 500 block of Third Avenue at 6:42 a.m.

An officer was unable to locate any open manhole covers after a report in the area of Cedar and Boyer at 7:15 a.m.

An officer was unable to locate the source of a 911 hang-up call in the area of Pine Street and Lincoln Avenue at 8:46 a.m.

A follow-up report was taken in the area of Ruth and Main at 12:16 p.m.

A follow-up report was taken on Fifth Avenue at 12:57 p.m.

Two wallets were turned in by a business in the 400 block of Fifth Avenue at 1:20 p.m.

After a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle on Fifth Avenue at 3:31 p.m., officers advised the driver left without leaving her name/insurance information.

A vehicle was burglarized in the 500 block of Third Avenue at 5:13 p.m. and small items taken.

A follow-up report was taken on Fifth Avenue at 5:44 p.m.

Juveniles in the 1500 block of Autumn Lane were warned to be careful playing catch at 8:14 p.m., so the missed balls did not hit any vehicles in the area.

Officers were unable to contact residents in the 600 block of Superior Street who may have been involved in a domestic dispute at 11:30 p.m. and advised other neighbors did not hear any yelling.

A local homeless male was contacted in the area of Sixth and Alder at 3:20 a.m. and advised to stop yelling and be quiet so people could sleep.
