The mailbox is being filled with junk mail from the candidates …

We had two new elected last time. They headed to another state, to speak up for other from other states. I thought they were Idaho legislators.

In Boise, you have to earn your stripes before they pay attention to you. They might throw you a bone to keep you quiet. Look at the great legislators of the past — George Eskridge and Jim Stoicheff (a Democrat of all things) — who earned their respect.

One such person we have there now is Shawn Keough. She has been accused of being too liberal. I guess keeping in mind ALL of us Idahoans is being liberal. She has been one to be fair and yet be conservative financially.

She reviews the whole bill to see how it effects all of us. With roads falling apart, she has championed getting good roads again; with our education system being rated last in the nation, she has championed a better education program. She is for all of us.
