I recently mailed in my absentee ballot, and my vote for the state Senate position goes to Glenn Rohrer.

For many years, I supported the incumbent, believing that as conservative Republicans we were on the same page. She has a nice personality, talks conservatism, but I watched with increasing concern how her voting record no longer matched it. Proof positive were letters by local Democrats urging other Democrats to change their party affiliation to Republican so they would crossover-vote for her in the primary.

I cam to realize that that is how she has stayed in office despite her liberal voting record.

As a survivor of Nazi Germany, my message to voters is: Pay attention to your candidate’s actions. Speak up and demand, “don’t tell me, show me.” Don’t be a part of the silent majority. When you see deception, confront it.
