Lewis Rich, who once served as county commissioner, wants to be your commissioner again.

His tenure, not so long ago, is remembered for decisions and actions on his part that kept the county embroiled in turmoil, conflict, and violations.

There was the bid rigging on the health benefits for county employees, ultimately costing him the loss of the commissioner chair position.

There was the signing of a 30-year lease for a new detention center that was not only an antiquated design, but the lease violated the Idaho Constitution. Additionally, the agreement was written so poorly that it never should have been signed.

Add to that the courthouse remodel failures and the Comprehensive Plan — of which he is still proud — which violated property rights, among other negative aspects, and you have our own Bonner County version of Hillary Clinton.
