Bonner County is suing Marcella Phillips for an illegal junkyard. She should just ask for a zoning variance. The P&Z commission would likely deny it, as they’re obliged to follow the law. She could appeal it, as there are now no grounds for appeal. The county commissioners would ignore the P&Z hearing (in a de novo appeal hearing) and likely grant her request, as they’re free to ignore the law. The current commissioners and candidate Dan McDonald believe she has the “freedom” to use her property as she wants.

This is Bonner County’s future if Todd Sudick and Dan McDonald are elected. Expect more objectionable uses like this, all in the name of “freedom.”

Don’t think your neighbor should have this much freedom, to your detriment? Vote for Jeff Connolly and Lewis Rich. Don’t turn Bonner County into a third world dump.
