At the Bonner’s Ferry candidate forum, I asked Shawn Keough why she voted to regulate small business owners more than they are already. She wasn’t sure about the Pharmacy Act bill (SB 1264) I was talking about; so, maybe she really hadn’t read what she voted for. It would have regulated anyone selling “medical durable equipment,” in other words, crutches, knee braces, wheelchairs, etc.. This would include the mom-and-pop drug stores. The bill required them to have a certain number of staff and be open at certain hours. This isn’t what some refer to as government overreach, is it?
Well, maybe she just didn’t understand the question. But, if I wanted to ask her again — I couldn’t because she has not shown up to another forum since then. Where is Shawn and why would she of voted for this?
