Really? No wonder our courts systems are in such a disarray!

Indeed, with amount of people in Sandpoint and Bonner County who have been arrested for embezzlement over the last five years, it only shows that it is OK to embezzle money from your employer because based on past cases the worst you will get is a slap on the hand and spend less than a fourth of your sentence in jail or even better just camp there on the weekends for 3 to 6 months. If these cases were in any other city’s court system they would serve their time appropriately for the crime; however, embezzlement is a crime that is widely accepted in this community. I am surprised it is a felony charge in this county!

Here is hoping the judge does due diligence before making a decision including the alleged pilfering from the Healing Garden donations and the nurses’ fund. What about the Gift Shop? Who knows? I just hope the auditors did a good and complete job.
