Eleanor 'Ellie' Ruth Morley, 75
Eleanor “Ellie” Ruth Morley, 75, who recently moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, passed away at her home on Thursday, May 5, 2016.
A celebration of Ellie’s life will take place at a later date.
Ellie was born May 26, 1940, the daughter of William and Ruth Doucette in Cambridge, Mass. She attended Catholic grammar school and graduated from Catholic High School in Cambridge. On Feb. 10, 1962, she married Robert Morley in Cambridge.
Together they traveled extensively throughout the United States while Robert was in the military. Their first post was Washington, D.C. They lived in North Carolina, South Carolina, Massachusetts, Hawaii, Illinois, Texas, and Washington. They then settled in Priest River, Idaho, where they lived for 13 years before moving to Sandpoint.
Ellie worked as a hotel clerk for many years. She was a member of the Catholic Church. She enjoyed collecting owls, dancing, music and travel.
She is survived by her husband, Robert of Sandpoint; two sons, Robert (Mona) Morley of Priest River, and William Morley of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and four sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings.
