I’m writing this letter for my late husband, Jim Peasha, and myself to show support for Sheriff Daryl Wheeler. My husband cared deeply for our community and country. It was his passion, and felt it his duty, to write letters to the editor with his concerns that affect our citizens and country.

He retired with 22 years from LAPD and 22 years from Bonner County Sheriff’s Office as a deputy under Sheriff Wheeler. Jim worked for many sheriffs but highly respected and supported Sheriff Wheeler. He also felt the respect and support as a deputy under him.

Sheriff Wheeler’s character is consistent in his personal life and showed his caring and support for me after the lost of my husband last fall, six year after Jim had retired.

Jim also respected and supported Idaho Sen. Shawn Keough throughout her career.

Please vote for these two well-deserving candidates.

As my husband often said, pray for our country.
