1. I am inspired to run for re-election to continue my public service to our area and to maintain the seniority in the Senate that I have that is critical to get our area’s issues on the table and addressed.

2. My qualifications are not unique, but what I do bring to this position in addition to experience and seniority in the senate is a hands on business management, public relations expertise, and the perspective of someone who has lived and worked here for 37 years and who has raised her family here.

3. A solid education system properly funded from the state, opportunities for good paying jobs and continued improvements in our roads are among the most impor-tant issues we face. Edu-cating our kids, being able to make a decent living and driving on safe roads are all impor-tant pieces of a shot at a prosperous future.

4. My seniority in the Senate coupled with my co-chairmanship of the budget committee has helped to bring more state dollars to our local schools, assist local employers to retain and grow jobs and to get some of our major road projects built. I will continue this work should I be re-elected.

5. I would like my legacy to include demonstrable improvements in our education system, better jobs in a thriving economy and safer roads. As mentioned previously these are important to the success of our area’s economy and to enable our citizens to have a good quality of life.

6. Continuing to secure increased funding for our public schools. Every dollar from the state relieves the need for districts to ask for money from property taxpayers. Continuing to fix roads and remove government barriers to businesses staying here and providing jobs. We’ve made progress but we still have major work to be done.

7. Making certain we keep our seniority in the state senate will help to ensure that our needs are addressed. I will continue to build coalitions and work with others who share these goals.

8. I’m one of Idaho’s citizen’s legislators’ and as such work in the private sector. I’d continue to do so while remaining accessible to local citizens via email, phone, mail and one to one visits. During the legislative session I am at the Capitol every day for 12 to 14 hours and will continue this to work for our area.

9. Continuing to focus on the issues people of our area have with their state government and working to solve those issues as possible.

10. I hope that I have adequately answered this question in Question 3.

11. I don’t believe that the falsehoods and misrepresentation of my public service that are being circulated are being exposed.

12. I’ve been accused of making decisions because of contributions to my campaign. My response is that there is no truth whatsoever to that and those who feel that I am corrupt — which is what is at the base of that accusation — should file a formal complaint with the Attorney General’s Office.

13.That seniority in the state senate matters to get anything done for people here in our end of the state.

14. Question: What exactly do you propose to do for our schools, roads and local economy?

aAnswer: I plan to continue providing increased state funding, make certain our road projects get underway and completed, and to work with businesses to identify government barriers to their success that I can work to remove.
