I am writing in response to Bob Wynhausen’s letter (April 12, 2016).
At the end of your letter you pose the question, “why must principle take a back seat to mammon?” Interesting question, since you endorse federal blackmail as means of subverting the will of the people. We already have anti-discrimination laws, as do all of the states.
What discrimination are you making reference to? The gender neutral restrooms where you may use the toilet of whatever gender you identify with? Or is it that the First Amendment protects speech, and to not force business to celebrate gay marriage? I find it also funny that you are mewling about gun rights again, which is a real right, and secures all others. I’m sure that you know that under Sharia law, homosexuality is punishable by death, and that women would be subject to honor killing. Talk about a war on women. Not to mention the Darth Vader costume they are forced to wear.
These facts are easily found in the public library, and multiple sources on the Internet. I am glad we don’t allow people to use whatever restroom they identify with. I’m sure if you had young daughters, you wouldn’t want them subject to Sharia, or the Bruce Jenner in the next stall. I am glad that our representatives spent time on what they did. It’s what I pay them for. But like a petulant child, liberals, in an attempt to buy more votes, put questions of principle to the court, again subverting the will of the people. But it wasn’t enough, now they want to sue until everyone is subdued.
Is it clear, Bob, that you don’t understand the Constitution, or Sharia? Shall I secure you a library card?
