Church hosting concert, barbecue

| May 20, 2016 1:00 AM

On Wednesday, May 25, Cabinet Mountain Calvary Chapel is hosting another evening of live music on the lawn at Clark Fork Jr./Sr. High School, featuring recording artist Holly Starr. The concert will be preceded by a community barbecue dinner of burgers, hot dogs, chips, and beverages.

There is no charge for dinner or the show. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m., and Holly Starr will perform at 6:30 p.m. Chairs will be provided, but feel free to bring a comfortable lawn chair.

Starr was raised in a Christian home in Quincy, Wash., and embodies a firm desire for ministry and to continue to bless people with her music. Her latest album, “Everything I Need”, came out in November. Her single “Don’t Have Love” found its way into the Top 30 Christian AC chart and reached No. 25 on the Christian CHR chart, and her single “Through My Father’s Eyes” reached No. 21 on the Christian CHR chart.

Holly’s YouTube videos have attracted over 4 million views, but Holly’s primary desire is for ministry and God’s plan for her life. She was featured in the 35th anniversary edition of CCM Magazine as part of the new generation of artists to watch earlier this year.
