Dan Welke, 58 of Newport, Wash., was arrested at 2:49 a.m. on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and an open container of alcohol in the 1000 block of Highway 2.
SANDPOINT POLICE
May 17
A non-injury accident was reported on Ponderosa Drive at 8:47 a.m.
An officer assisted a citizen on Sandpoint Avenue at 9:46 a.m.
Suspicious circumstances were reported on Honeysuckle Avenue at 11:50 a.m.
A family offense was reported on Lakeview Boulevard at 1:50 p.m.
Multiple items were taken from a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Pine Street at 3:32 p.m.
An officer advised a driver had permission to use a vehicle after a reported theft on S. First Avenue at 3:41 p.m.
An officer was unable to contact a citizen who had concerns in the 500 block of Olive Avenue at 3:54 p.m.
After two females got into a physical altercation in the 1100 block of Oak Street at 7:10 p.m., officers advised neither wanted to press charges.
Officers mediated in a child custody dispute in the 300 block of Euclid Avenue at 7:09 p.m.
Officers advised cleaning personnel thought they may have activated an alarm in the 400 block of Church Street at 8:59 p.m.; they didn’t.
After a patient in the Huckleberry Avenue area was taken to BGH by a friend after concerns he was suicidal at 9:34 p.m., officer advised he was not.
Matthew C. Andis-Bruehl, 21, of Ponderay, was cited in the area of Third and Cedar at 11:33 p.m. on a charge of driving without privileges.

Officers assisted fire personnel in the 800 block of Oak Street at 2:49 a.m.
Officers pushed a disabled vehicle out of the roadway in the 400 block of Fifth Avenue at 4:28 a.m.

May 17
Officers responded to an alarm on Highway 95 at 7:06 a.m.
Information was relayed to officers on Vermeer Drive at 8:42 a.m.
Officer assisted a citizen in the 476900 block of Highway 95 at 4:22 p.m.

Suspicious circumstances were reported on Harriet Street at 8:31 p.m.
