I was so impressed with Shery Meeking’s story about how she first started up a gallery with an art space at no cost to the community that I forgot about her choice to transition her business into a new nonprofit organization in June 2011, thereby giving up her ownership to a board of directors.

In the April 10th article in the Bonner County Daily Bee about how “The Conversation spurs local arts movement,” I made the mistake in referring Shery as the “owner” of Creations for Sandpoint. The fact is Shery Meekings is the executive director of the nonprofit Arts Alliance, doing business as Creations for Sandpoint.

Please accept my apologies for any confusion in my misrepresenting Shery to our community.
