Free tennis block party serving up some fun

SANDPOINT — If you love tennis, don’t miss this free opportunity to try your hand at a lifelong sport, as Sandpoint Parks and Recreation brings you the annual Tennis Block Party on Saturday, June 4 at Travers Park.

Participants will enjoy fun games and gain playing tips, networking, and lesson information for the summer. There are different youth classes, with adults encouraged to attend the final session.

If you don’t have a racket, loaner rackets and balls will be provided. No need to pre-register, just show up at the Travers Park Tennis Courts at the appropriate age-specific time and get your game on.

n Ages 6-9 years-old — 9-10 a.m.

n Ages 10-12 years-old — 10-11 a.m.

n Ages 13-17 years-old — 11 a.m. to noon.

n Ages 17 and up — Noon to 1 p.m.
