IMPROVEMENTS AT THE GEM

Manager Jack Gardner has introduced an innovation at the Gem by putting his house lights in amber globes, held by scientists to be the easiest on the eyes. They were tried out last night and were very successful in that they didn’t interfere with the screen and gave the interior a cozy appearance besides relieving patrons of eye-strain. Another improvement at the theatre is an additional motor-driven machine which eliminates all waits from the progress of the Gem programs.
