Chamber hosts real estate update

| November 9, 2016 12:00 AM

SANDPOINT — Where is the area headed in terms of real estate and growth?

Head over to the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce general membership luncheon on Thursday and find out. The luncheon will be held from noon-1 p.m., with registration starting at 11:45 a.m. at the Community Room of the Columbia Bank Building, 414 Church St.

The luncheon will host guest speaker Raphael Barta of Century 21 Riverstone and president-elect for the Idaho Association of Realtors. Barta will give a detailed analysis of the Bonner County real estate situation with a focus on growth. He also will address where the new housing stock is coming from, the demographics of new buyers, and the affordability for full-time residents given that median home prices have risen faster than incomes. Barta will also be discussing trends in the industry and an overview of the year.

The cost is $15 for chamber members, $20 for non-chamber members and includes lunch catered by Tango Café. Please register online at www.sandpointchamber.com or call 208-263-2161 to reserve your space.
