Sharks open swim season at Trick or Treat Meet

SANDPOINT — The Sandpoint Sharks kicked off the season at the Trick or Treat Meet at the University of Idaho pool recently, with several local swimmers turning in top performances.

Kate Bokowy was the lone Shark to earn a win in her division of the 100 meter freestyle, also finishing third in both the 100 fly and 200 IM against many of the top youth swimmers from around the region.

Aidan Nielsen led the boys with second place finishes in the 50 free, 50 back and 50 fly, while Caleb Norling finished second in the 100 IM and 50 breast, showing strong versatility.

Other top 10 finishes for the boys included Zackary Grzincic (6th 50 fly), Jack Grzincic (8th 50 fly) and Hayden Norling (7th 100 fly).

Top 10 finishes for the girls included Autumn Morgan (3rd 100 breast), Julia Cummings (4th 100 free, 5th 100 back), Cassidy Aitken (7th 50 breast), Ayiana Prevost (7th 100 IM) and Sabrina Wilson (8th 100 breast).

Under the guidance of longtime coach Mike Brosnahan, the program continues to produce great swimmers.
