Re: “Corner Book Store is at a crossroad” (Daily Bee, Nov. 11, 2016)

Since I first leased the property, under the former building owner, in October 1997, the five-year rental was always up in October. Somewhere along the line that must have changed. I don’t remember when that happened, but when the building changed hands last year, I didn’t pay the proper attention, and was surprised to be reminded that the new lease was, indeed, up at this year’s end.

I apologize for any misunderstanding or ill will that this has caused. My bad.
