Top Dogs fare well at Panhandle Wrestling Championships

SANDPOINT — Top Dog Wrestling played host to the annual season-ending Panhandle Wrestling Championships last weekend, with more than 500 youth wrestlers on 25 teams from around the region competing at Sandpoint Middle School.

Colton Dickinson (50), Joe Neff (55), Coleman Inge (75) and Christian Troumbley (122) each won their brackets in a strong showing for the Top Dog program, which had 61 wrestlers in action during the busy one-day tourney.

A host of Top Dogs nabbed podium spots, including second place finishers Jacob Neff (45), Paden Hinds (55), Tyler Woods (50), Dixon Reed (55), Isabella Stark (60), Josh Holub (60), Jorden Tyler (80), Kayelin Johansen (105), Gregory Belgarde (128) and Tyssen Case (122).

Notching third place finishes for Sandpoint were Joel Holub (45), Zak Woods (50), Dominic Ratigan (55), Gage Martin (60), Shane Sherrill (80) and Austin Smith (112).

Fourth place finishers included Jaydin Lee (45), Cody Warwick (50), Deanna Resso (65) and Owen Wimmer (105), while Calvin Hinds finished fifth at 95 pounds.
