On the front page of the Daily Bee (Nov. 6, 2016), Dave Gunter wrote, “Most of the physical evidence of Sandpoint’s earliest days as a township is virtually gone — entombed in concrete under the Sand Creek Byway or covered by waterfront condominiums.”

I am tired of people bashing progress and bashing my home. Where my home is located was just mud. I have lived at Seasons for 10 years and in the county for 25 years. Some of my neighbors have been in Sandpoint for generations. We are a concentrated tax base who ask little of the community’s resources. Sandpoint Avenue is now paved and a lovely way to access the Pend d’Oreille Bay Trail. Did any of you realize how it was paid for, and who maintains Sandpoint Avenue?

We volunteer our time, write countless checks to help our neighbors, and try to make a difference, just like you. We love our home, just like you. It’s been 10 years; it’s time to let go.
