I am writing to thank you all for bringing our raises at solid waste to your table. I so appreciate your prompt attention to that matter regarding wages. It has been a struggle for some time. Thank you for your due diligence. I know those of us who got our raises are grateful.

That being said, the editor of the Priest River Times has printed a letter I sent in September, when I thought our raises went by the wayside. It is rather odd that they, after two months time, decided to print that letter without fact checking to see if the issue had been resolved. I guess I now know that any letter sent to the editor will circumvent its way down the shaft for months before it is printed. I will keep this in mind for the future. I will be sending them a copy of this letter and hope they will print this also, but in a more timely manner. I also hope the public will be made aware of the effort you all did for the Bonner County wage earners, plus our huge thanks.
