In response to Joanne Barbee’s letter regarding the protests after the presidential election, in which she stated that the protesters were behaving like a small child having a temper tantrum when they don’t get their way, and “haven’t they heard of a democracy where the person with the most votes wins?”

News flash — the person with the most votes did not win, that’s exactly what these protests are about. At last count, Hillary Clinton had 1.7 million more votes than Donald Trump, but she lost due to our system — the Electoral College. It’s time to do away with this antiquated system.
