I am a student at Lake Pend Oreille High School. I would like to commend the principal, Geoff Penrose, for all he has done for the school for the past threee years. He not only has cleaned it up physically, he has made inroads to improve the performance of students’ academic growth and attendance.

I can attest to this because he gave me a second chance. I dropped out in 2014 and he allowed me to re-enroll in 2015. I am now on track to graduate with all my credits and I have a career goal in mind. I have even gotten on the honor roll. The graduation rate has increased and the community looks at us favorably.

I am proud to be a senior because I wouldn’t be where I am without his acceptance and encouragement. Thank you, Geoff, for giving me a second chance.
