Report of a 911 hang-up in the 700 block of S. Washington in Newport at 3:04 a.m.

Sept. 28

An attempted phone scam was reported in the 500 block of Sixth Avenue at 8:33 a.m.

Officers responded after a verbal altercation was reported in the 300 block of Halley Street at 9:11 a.m. and advised nothing physical occurred.

Allie L Whitt, 54, of Clark Fork was arrested in the 4000 block of Samuelson avenue on a Bonner County warrant at 10:40 a.m.

Officers assisted Probation and Parole with an agent’s warrant arrest in the 1300 block of Pine Street at 11:56 a.m.

After a physical altercation was reported in the 1300 block of Main Street at 1:01 p.m., an offer advised that possible charges are pending.

Report of a two-vehicle, non-injury crash near Fifth and Cedar at 1:07 p.m.

A possible sex offense in the city was placed under investigation at 2:28 p.m.

An officer addressed a citizen’s concerns regarding possible drug use in the 600 block of S. Division Avenue at 3:18 p.m.

An officer was unable to locate a reported reckless driver in the 800 block of Church Street at 3:27 p.m.

An officer was unable to contact an out-of-state citizen who wanted to report a sex offense at an unspecified location in the city at 3:12 p.m.

Financial transaction cards and cash were reported missing from a residence in the 200 block of S. Florence Avenue at 4:36 p.m.

An officer assisted Bonner General Health personnel with an unruly patient in the 500 block of N. Third Avenue at 5:13 p.m.

An officer assisted deputies in the Highway 95 area in Ponderay at 6:04 p.m.

After a complaint at 6:45 p.m., Aan officer checked on two dogs in a vehicle in the 1100 block; they were fine.

After a welfare check request at 7:45 p.m., an officer checked on children in the 700 block of Merton Avenue and advised they were fine.

An accidental 911 activation was reported on Schweitzer Cutoff Road at 8:03 p.m.

After a report of suspicious circumstances at 9:45 p.m., an officer was unable to locate snyone in the area of the 1100 block of N. Division Avenue.

After a report of threats at 1:56 a.m., an officer contacted a citizen in the 600 block of S. Division Avenue and addressed her concerns.

Terry D. Franck Jr., 21, of Ponderay was arrested on a charge of domestic battery in the 1100 block of Kootenai Cutoff Road at 4:28 p.m.
