SANDPOINT — After a scoreless first half, the Bulldogs offense found another gear, with four different players finding the back of the net in a 15 minute span to start the second half, cruising to a 4-0 win over Post Falls on Tuesday in nonleague boys soccer at Pine St. Field.

Jack Rinck got the scoring started with a blast from about 30 yards out that bent just inside the upper-left part of the goal, with Dawson Mulder beating a defender and the keeper to net his 21st goal of the season just four minutes later for the Bulldogs (9-2-4), who owned the second half.

Head coach Adam Tajan said his team didn’t have much energy in the first half and struggled to execute the offense.

“The simple things weren’t happening,” said Tajan, who had a basic message to his team at half. “Let’s do the simple things right. They looked solid.”

Amos Crossingham scored the third goal, cutting across the top of the box before firing a shot the other direction for another pretty goal. Luke Koch would cap the scoring with his first goal of the season, and keeper Mitch Rust would make the shutout stand up with a few diving saves in the second half.

Zachary Nall had a busy day in goal for the Trojans (5-3-5).
