A note to the person who had to paint the “wall” when you turn into Hope from Sandpoint using it as the place to rant about Trump and illegal immigrants.

I really don’t care about your political views one way or the other. That’s not the point. What I’m really perturbed about is your desecration of a cemetery. Perhaps you didn’t realize that wall holds nearly a century-old Chinese cemetery. By extension it’s part of our history and certainly hallowed ground.

Why don’t you do the right thing and buy some matching paint and some night soon do yourself and our community a favor and correct what you did. Maybe you’d sleep better knowing more about the wall’s place in Hope history. Then again …
