Report of a burglary in the 2000 block of Lower Pack River Road at 8:51 a.m.

Lauren M. Walker, 27, of Texas was arrested in the 300 block of Highway 57 in Priest River at 4:21 p.m. on a charge of possession of a stolen firearm; and Megan R. Smith, 23, of Priest River, was cited at the same time and location on a charge of animal cruelty.

SANDPOINT POLICE

Oct. 6

Officers assisted deputies at the scene of an alarm in the 476600 block of Highway 95 in Ponderay at 8:22 a.m.

Officers advised that a reportedly suicidal female was already at BGH for treatment when they were notified at 11:50 a.m.

A male loitering in a business in the 400 block of Church Street was asked to leave at 12:15 p.m. and did so.

A follow-up report was taken on Pine Street at 12:08 p.m.

A found cellphone in the area of N. Boyer Avenue and Schweitzer Cutoff Road was returned to its owner at 1:04 p.m.

A 15-year-old Sagle male was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant in the 1000 block of N. Boyer Avenue at 1:33 p.m. and transported to JDU.

An officer assisted BGH personnel with a patient trying to leave AMA on N. Third Avenue at 2:12 p.m.

A 15-year-old Sandpoint female was cited on a charge of minor in possession of alcohol in the 400 block of S. Division Avenue at 2:36 p.m.

Officers checked on a male in the 4300 block of Burns Court at 3:36 p.m.; he had calmed down by the time the officers arrived.

Accidental 911 activation was reported on N. Second Avenue at 3:48 p.m.

Officers advised that what sounded like gun shots in the Huron Avenue area at 7:22 p.m. was actually fireworks set off at the pier.

After a report of suspicious circumstances at 10:40 p.m., officers checked the 500 block of Church Street and found a male dumpster diving.

Oct. 7

After a welfare check request at 5:13 a.m., an officer checked on a patient at BGH and advised he was upset with staff but was otherwise OK.

PONDERAY POLICE

Oct. 6

Nathan R. Cox, 26, of Ponderay was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia in the 800 block of Kootenai Cutoff Road at 11:45 a.m.

A burglary was reported on Highway 2 at 2:23 p.m.
