SCHOOL SUPT. WANTS NEW BUILDING
“I wish further to recommend that the board, at its earliest convenience” said City Superintendent of Schools Henderson in his report to the school board Monday evening, “take the initial steps for the erection of a high school building adequate to serve the purposes of the district in a modern way, in the hope that our equipment may justify the expectation that Sandpoint children be given as good an opportunity for advancement and culture as the children of other communities with whom they will have to compete in after life. Having studied the situation, it is my conviction that the people of Sandpoint and Bonner county recognize the need of a satisfactory high school building here.” As given in the report of the board’s session, however, the matter was left open for future action by the process of tabling.
