Oct. 20, 1966 — POLICE BLOTTER
On Oct. 13 Police Chief Elliot issued a citation to Doug Pennington, age 19, on a charge of following another vehicle too close.
On Oct. 15 Ron Brisboy, Sagle, reported to Sandpoint police that he had lost a wallet containing $27 Friday night.
Duane Davis notified Sandpoint police that he lost a focusing panel for a Graflex camera, valued at $15, at the city beach on Oct. 15.
Penelope Wallace was cited for driving 35 miles an hour in a 25 mile an hour zone.
Nancy Patton, age 16, was cited for driving 40 miles an hour in a 25 mile an hour zone.
On Oct. 13 an accident on Cedar St. resulted in minor damage to vehicles driven by Claire Bistline, 16, and Tim Heighn, 17. No injuries were reported.

MENTAL HEALTH FILMS TO BE SHOWN
A series of films on the subject of mental hygiene will be shown Mondays at 7 p.m. at the Bonner County Family Services office, 420 N. Third, beginning Oct 24. Purpose of the series is to explain the basic structure of the personality and suggest ways in which mental health can be maintained and improved. The films are free. A group discussion will follow each showing.

Pend d’Oreille Review
Oct. 20, 1916 — USE LIVE DECOYS
Colonel H.L. Bennett, proprietor of the Grill, Jack Adams, democratic candidate for sheriff, and Harry Krebs spent Sunday hunting ducks on Lake Pend d’Oreille. A half dozen live decoys, the property of the colonel, were used to lure their wilder brothers within shooting distance and the party came home with a large bag. The colonel has about 60 of these domesticated wild fowl and since proving their usefulness has expressed a willingness to allow fellow sportsmen to rent them for use in this section.

PIG JUDGING DECEMBER 1
H.F. Samuels, of Samuels, who last spring offered a prize of fifty dollars to the school district that would produce the best pig, has announced that the day after Thanksgiving will be the day for judging the efforts of the competitors. It will take place in Sandpoint and the prize is to be used to beautify the school grounds in the lucky district.

HALLOWE’EN MASK BALL
Given by the City Band at the Rink. Prizes will be announced. A percentage of proceeds will go to the mess fund of Company A. Dance Tickets $1.00, Spectators 25c. Come and help out.

LARGE CROP OF OATS
Earl Rusho of Blanchard threshed 824 bushels of oats from nine acres this year, an average of better than 90 bushels to the acre.
