Coats 4 Kids event tonight

SANDPOINT — KXLY will be at the Bonner Mall from 5 to 7 p.m. today to host the local Coats 4 Kids distribution event. KXLY will broadcast the evening weather from the Bonner Mall and anyone who brings in a coat will be entered into a drawing for a pair of Seattle Seahawks tickets.

Coats 4 Kids has donation boxes at 36 area locations and will continue to collect donations until Oct. 31, and distribution will continue at the Bonner Mall until Nov. 11 or when the coats are gone.

As of Monday, 503 coats, 46 hats, 23 pairs of gloves, 16 scarves, 21 snow pants, two pairs of snow boots and $330 had been collected to help share the warmth this winter.
