Aug. 25

An attempted phone scam in the 1600 block of Hickory Street at 8:18 a.m.

A 911 misdial was reported on N. Third Avenue at 8:33 a.m.

Patricia A .Amstutz, 27, of Sandpoint, was arrested in the area of Pine and Division at 8:54 a.m. on a charge of driving under the influence (excessive).

After a dog was hit by a vehicle in the area of S. Lincoln Avenue and Ontario Street at 11:30 a.m., an officer advised the owner was on scene.

An officer was unable to locate any vehicles in the area of the 1100 block of W. Superior at 11:35 a.m. with unattended children.

An officer was unable to locate the source of a 911 hang-up call in the Great Northern Road area at 11:49 a.m.

An officer assisted Probation and Parole in the 200 block of E. Superior Street at 12:27 p.m.

A dog running at large in the 600 block of S. Ella Avenue was returned to its owner at 1:29 p.m.

After a reported controlled substance incident, an officer checked a residence in the 1100 block of Oak Street at 1:50 p.m. and advised no one was inside or around it.

An officer was unable to locate any vehicles with dogs inside at City Beach at 2:40 p.m.

An officer was unable to locate anything out of the ordinary in the 200 block of Halley Street after a report of possible controlled substance at 2:50 p.m.

An officer was unable to locate a reported reckless driver in the area of Highway 2 and S. Division Avenue at 5:39 p.m.

After two sisters got into a physical altercation in the 1300 block of Alder Street at 6:05 p.m., an officer advised that no charges were pressed.

An officer contacted the parent of two unattended children in the 900 block of N. Division Avenue at 9:14 p.m.; they did not know they were outside.

Paul S. Beach, 52, of Sandpoint, was arrested in the 1200 block of Fifth Avenue on a misdemeanor Bonner County warrant at 9:25 p.m.

An officer was canceled on scene at the airport on Airport Way at 9:48 p.m.; the occupants of a plane had just checked in with traffic control.

An officer assisted EMS personnel on a call in the 300 block of Maddie Lane at 10 p.m.

Officers were unable to locate a Texas male, who tried to get into a bar in the 200 block of N. First Avenue with an altered driver’s license at 10:08 p.m.

An officer assisted Ponderay Police with a drug arrest on Highway 95 at 11:27 p.m.

Subjects camping in a motorhome in the 1300 block of Honeysuckle Avenue at 11:24 p.m. were advised they had to move and were also issued warning for urinating in public.

An officer responded to a juvenile problem reported on Bridge Street in Sandpoint at 8:39 a.m.

An officer responded to a 911 hang-up on Kootenai Cutoff Road at 2:56 p.m.

Officer responded to an agency assist in the 477500 block of Highway 95 at 6:18 p.m.

Aaron M. James, 36, of Olympia, Wash., was arrested on Highway 95 at 11:27 p.m. charges of possession of marijuana less than 3 ounces, possession of paraphernalia with the intent to use, and driving without privileges.
