SUMMARY: The City of Kootenai adopted Ordinance # 210 on August 24, 2016 to reinstate the Area of City Impact agreement required by Idaho Code \u00DF67-6526. The ordinance was inadvertently repealed when the city adopted updates to its zoning regulations. The ordinance shall become effective upon the publication of this summary. Ordinance # 210 adopts an agreement between Bonner County and the City of Kootenai for the Area of City Impact (ACI). This previously negotiated agreement identifies the factors used to determine the ACI and provides that Bonner County's adopted comprehensive plan and land use regulations apply to the unincorporated area within the ACI. Bonner County shall provide the city with copies of any land use applications proposed within the ACI. The city has the right to review and comment within a 40-day comment period. The administration of the plans and ordinances remain under the authority of the county within the ACI.
