Library hosting astronomy talk

SANDPOINT — Have you always had an interest in the stars and planets but don’t know where to start learning about them? If the answer is yes, you’ll be interested in a basic astronomy program on Saturday at the Sandpoint branch of the East Bonner County Library District.

The class begins at 1 p.m. The Sandpoint library is lcoated at 1407 Cedar St.

The class will give an introduction to astronomy, including a discussion of where we exist in the universe, our planet, our solar system, the Milky Way galaxy, galaxy clusters, and our universe. You’ll see several telescopes and speakers will talk about what to look or when buying one. There will also be a solar scope on hand for looking at the sun safely.
