CF United Methodist welcomes new pastor

| September 9, 2016 1:00 AM

The Clark Fork United Methodist Church is delighted to announce that it has received a new pastor and the congregation has welcomed Pastor T.J. Parker and his wife, Anna, and four children to its church family. Pastor Parker comes to us with several years of ministerial experience.

Pastor Parker and his wife attended the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, participating in the mission’s department.

Later they spent a significant amount of time working with South Asian communities.

Following their time in Chicago, they spent a year attending and serving at Faith Bible Church in Colorado Springs, Colo. While there, Parker served on the church board.

Parker and his wife then joined Mountain Gateway, a mission agency focused on finding, preparing, and placing missionaries for long-term missionary service.

Before arriving in Clark Fork, they spent the last six months of 2015 taking part in a pastoral internship/mentorship program in Montana’s Trout Creek Community Church.

Pastor Parker also ministers in the United Methodist Churches in Heron and Noxon, Mont.

The community is invited to join the congregation for worship at the Clark Fork United Methodist Church, 116 S. Second Ave., on Sundays, at 11:15 a.m. All are welcome.
