Heads up soccer fans If you love soccer, this is your weekend, as Sandpoint plays host to the Annual Pend Oreille Cup youth soccer tournament today and tomorrow. Nolan Angell and the U13 Strikers kicked off the tournament Friday night at Travers Park with a 2-2 tie. Caden Kindred and Tristan Hitchcock scored the goals in the tie. A record 139 teams are coming from around the region, with play at Travers Park, Great Northern Park, Pine St. Field and War Memorial Field. The championships are slated for Sunday morning.
