Whitworth students qualify for honors

SPOKANE — Desiree Westphal of Clark Fork and Pauline Harris of Sandpoint have been named to the Whitworth University provost’s honor roll for spring semester 2016.

The student(s) qualified for the academic honor society by maintaining a grade-point average of at least 3.75 during the semester.

Located in Spokane, Whitworth is a private, liberal arts university affiliated with the Presbyterian Church. The university, which has an enrollment of nearly 3,000 students, offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

Smith graduates Gonzaga University

Taryn Smith has graduated from Gonzaga Univer-sity with a bachelor of science in nursing. She was on the dean’s list and president’s list prior to graduating this May.

Smith is a member of the Sigma Theta International Honor Society of Nursing.
