Lakes panel meeting set

PRIEST RIVER — The Idaho Lakes Commission will take in a number of presentations involving Priest Lake and the Pend Oreille River when it meets on Friday, Sept. 23.

The meeting starts at 10 a.m. in the Beardmore Building at 119 Main St.

Rob Ryan of the Idaho Department of Fish & Game will provide an update on management of the fishery at Priest Lake, while Cynthia Bridge Clark of the Idaho Department of Water Resources will update the commission on the Priest Lake water management study. She’ll also provide a brief history of water management on the lake.

Steve Klatt, director of Bonner County Parks & Waterways, will bring the commission up to speed on improvements to waterways facilities. Jim Brady of the Idaho Department of Lands will make a Navigable Waters 101 presentation and Joel Fenolio of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will update the board on Albeni Falls Dam operations.
