Cedar Hills Church hosting open house
“Got church?”
For anyone who has ever been disaffected from church in the past, or perhaps never had a church experience growing up — or, is simply spiritually questioning — Cedar Hills has an event for you.
It’s the Cedar Hills “Got Church?” open house on Sunday, Sept. 18, from 9 a.m.–1 p.m. The event is a family-friendly celebration of Cedar Hills’ recently completed expansion and will include the chance for all attendees to take in a worship service, explore the new remodel, enjoy uplifting music and a great cup of coffee.
Three church gatherings will be offered that day, each lasting 60 minutes. Start times are 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., with open house activities directly following each service, located at 227 McGhee Road.
From its start 15 years ago in a Sandpoint living room, Cedar Hills has become a thriving community of people from every walk of life, providing a welcoming, safe and accepting environment. For any without a church home, the “Got Church?” event is an invitation to give church another look. Cedar Hills offers a nontraditional church experience without the stained glass windows, reader boards or steeple — and in a building the members affectionately call “the warehouse” as a reflection of values that focus on the people of the church far more than a building.
